December Yoga Challenge with Champion

Well hello there! No you’re not confused, it really is Saturday morning and I’m posting which never happens! I ran into a few technical difficulties at the end of the week that grew me a bit off schedule, but I figured most everyone was out shopping yesterday anyway and wouldn’t have time to be sitting around reading blogs. 😉

Remember back in October when I had the #streakwithsuzi Yoga Challenge? Well I decided it was time for another challenge. But this time instead of doing yoga every day, I decided that 3 times/week would be more than enough, and we’ll wrap it up just before the holidays since December is normally a crazy month all on it’s own.

The Challenge:

To make it official, the challenge is to do yoga 3x/week for the next three weeks. The challenge begins today (Saturday, November 29th) and will end on Saturday, December 20th.

For the sake of simplicity, for this challenge the week will run Saturday-Friday, so each week when your next video is posted, that marks the start of the next week.

This go around I‘ve made a series of short yoga videos for you so you can choose to do take a yoga class, do your own thing, or do the videos I post. I know a lot of you struggle with practising on your own so hopefully these videos will help a few of you out!

One more change this time around is that I’ve partnered with Champion, and they are outfitting me in the videos and have generously offered to give one of you a Champion Sports Bra of your own! More details on how you can be the lucky recipient below!

A week or so ago I asked what type of yoga videos you all wanted, and the majority of people asked for strength videos. Well, “strength” doesn’t narrow it down all that much, so I decided to make it more of a strength video for beginners. Now having said that, there are some beginners that could probably easily fly through this video, and some people who have been strength training or doing yoga for quite a while who may still struggle a bit. If you fall into the later category, just do what you can, and every time you try you are getting that much stronger. It’s all about trying!

The video is short, so you can choose to do it once and call it a day, or go through the flow 2,3 or even 4 times to get more of a workout. It’s all up to you! Next week I’ll have a new video for you that you can add-on to this flow to continue building more strength!

Here is your video!

In the video I’m wearing the Champion Absolute Workout Jacket in black, the PerforMax Women’s Tights in black, the Women’s Powertrain Heat Tank in black heather/granite heather and underneath it all I’m wearing The Show Off max support sports bra in Steeze Pink.

I’ve hung up my running shoes for the season, but the PerforMax Tights are going to be perfect for running come the spring! They have the ideal amount of compression,

cute detailing on the back of the leg,

and a built-in zipper pocket on the back of the waistband which is perfect for keys, a kleenex, etc. They are made with Duofold Warmth Control which is designed to keep you warm without weighing you down. It does that with lightweight insulation which uses your body heat to keep you nice and toasty when out hitting the pavement. I can tell you they are a heck of a lot lighter than my fleece lined running tights!

I swear I was really happy when this photo was taken, I just look a little zoned out 😉

I’m so happy that Target has come to Nova Scotia so that we can easily get Champion pieces like these again! I use to buy all my sports bras from Champion but then I couldn’t find them for the longest time, so I’m excited that they are back (in Nova Scotia that is!).

The Giveaway

The lovely folks at Champion have offered one of their sports bras to the participant to checks in the most during the December Yoga Challenge! If two or more people tie for 1st, one of those people will be chosen by random as the prize winner.

To Check-In

This is going to be your “check-in page”. Come back here to leave a comment each time you complete a yoga workout (for a maximum of 3 comments/week). The challenge will end on Saturday, December 20th. Once the challenge is over, the winner will be chosen and contacted.

Disclosure: I was provided with Champion product in order to facilitate this challenge, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’m excited to try these videos. I’m hoping they’ll help strengthen my knees and legs and help stretch out the rest of me.

After a day on my feet at a trade show and a poor night sleep, a little yoga this morning seemed like a good idea. Yoga comin’ at ya from T.O.

I did a bunch of the yoga for runners stretches, that you taught me, after the Toy Trot on Saturday. Those stretches and my PROCompression socks really make a world of difference the day after a run!
