Merry Christmas Eve, Eve! 😀
I am on vacation from teaching this week (yay!!!) and so far have done a pretty darn good job working as a lump on the couch watching movies. Â It’s been fab. Â But you know what? Â I don’t think I could bare to do it for an entire week. Â After two full days of laziness, I was already feeling joint and muscle pain creeping into my body from my good pal, fibromyalgia.
Good pal = I would like to ninja kick it into another hemisphere.
Anyway, when I got up this morning my back was killing me. Â My arms and legs have been hurting for a few days, and I really felt like junk. Â So even though I’m on vacation and am suppose to be taking this time to rest and recover from the craziness I put my body through all year, I knew I needed to exercise.
So I started out with a 30 minute Yoga Stretch video that Workouts On Demand had sent me that helped to work out some of the kinks in my back especially, but also helped stretch out my whole body.
I felt a lot better afterwards, but knew I needed a little more to really kick the joint pain to the curb so I headed down to the treadmill and busted out 2 miles of speed intervals
Once I did that, had a bath and got dressed I felt like a whole new person. Â Exercise FTW!
Now I know that most of my readers don’t have fibromyalgia or another chronic illness that causes the widespread pain I was trying to fend off, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t suffer from sugaritis 😉
Sugaritis is that nasty bug that one gets when they almost exclusively eat holiday treats and find themselves feeling very lethargic.  But you’re in luck!  sugaritis is very easy to cure, you just need to get up and move, and then eat a few vegetables 😉
The folks over at WorksOnDemand.com want to help you combat sugaritis so are offering you all your very own free download of the Yoga Stretch workout I did this morning!  You can download your video here ( <–I downloaded it and then put the video on a jump drive so I could watch the video on my TV through my BluRay player instead of having to use my laptop.)
But that’s now all! Â They have also generously offered one of my readers a 6-month membership to their site! Â Workouts On Demand is a great resource for at-home workouts and they have a great library of videos to choose from (with free previews!).
And bonus – even if you don’t win this giveaway, Workouts On Demand offers a free workout video every week so you can try something new each and every week – for free!

My fav way to exercise over the holidays is to do a bit of Zumba…in class or on the Wii.
a little yoga
I think that you are an inspiration to many! I love that instead of letting your fibromyalgia win you kick it to the curb by working out!!!
I love getting to a yoga class and when that isn’t possible, just rolling out my mat at home and practicing in my living room!
My favourite way to exercise over the holidays is to get outside for a run or family walk/playing in the snow if we have it.
Merry Christmas!
I LOVE pilates, barre, or at home circuit workouts I find throughout blog-land!
I love to take walks during the holidays.
