Feel This Moment: Dance Toning

I’ve decided that once a month I’m going to do a little Flashback Friday with these videos. I have lots of older stuff that I don’t record because well, it’s old, but lots of my participants still ask for older routines to be made into videos, and just because it’s old to me doesn’t necessarily mean it’s old to someone else, ya know?

Anyway, this week I’m sharing a routine to “Feel This Moment” which was on Mega Mix 36. This isn’t an original routine, I found it on YouTube to begin with and may have changed it very slightly (it was a very years ago) but not enough to say it’s my own.

The comical thing here is I haven’t taught a toning class in a couple months, so prior to recording this video I hadn’t done this routine since June. And it shows. I somehow forgot how to do a body roll at the beginning, and a few more times during the routine which watching back makes me giggle. So when you watch it and I look a bit awkward, well that’s because I was. hahaha. Just trust that I normally do this routine with a bit more finesse. 😉

I’m recording in my basement here where the ceiling is fairly low so I’m not going into a full extension on the shoulder presses as I didn’t want to smash the lights or the ceiling. And finally, the chest flyes in this song are very small, in order for this to be done safely you really cannot go through a full range of motion at that speed so keep it small!

Because this a mainstream song, you may not be able to watch the video on your phone or tablet. I know that has happened in the past with a few other songs, so if you can’t see it try it from a computer.

Have a great weekend!
