This week’s video is a tricep burner that reallllly burns. I couldn’t do anything with my arms for a good half an hour after I recorded this one, haha. So while it’s short it’s pretty darn effective since it uses your body weight.
Now some of you may not be quite ready for the tricep presses (the bending and extending at the elbow), and might find holding your body weight in place to be enough of a challenge, if that is the case – do that! Holding your weight is still a great exercise, and that way it gives you something to work up to, without taking a lot of time out of your day.
And if you have super triceps and find that one minute isn’t long enough, then you can do the workout through 2 or 3 times for an added burn and it will still take you less than 5 minutes!
The outfit I’m wearing in this video is from Giant Tiger’s ACX line which is their in-house athletics label. They recently invited me to come visit the new Greenwood location and hooked me up with a bunch of great gear. Gone are the days when being on a budget meant wearing frumpy clothes at the gym. My entire outfit (sports bra included) was $50.60 and is cute, functional and pretty well made considering the price point! I really love the style of these leggings and the tank is a fooler tank (it looks like two, but is really only one).
They had so much nice stuff I spent way too long in the store trying to make decisions. Life can be hard you know. 😉
I did end up getting the bright warm-up jacket above, and one of those camo sports bra tanks, as well as some other gear you can see me sporting over on Instagram.
I’m so glad companies like Giant Tiger are now selling affordable, and fashion-forward athletic gear. It’s nice that no matter what your budget you can wear cute clothes while working out – and we all know that makes working out just that much easier!
So the next time you find yourself near Giant Tiger, do yourself a favour and go in and check out the ACX line!
And if you try the tricep workout above let me know how it goes – and if it tires out your triceps. I’m hoping it’s not just me that was rendered useless after that minute!
I don’t think I’ve been inside Giant Tiger in the last 5 years… I should go though, I could use a couple extra pieces of fitness gear. 90% of what i have is from old navy which is also super affordable but really nice!
I love Old navy stuff too! I only seem to go into Giant Tiger when I am looking for something specific, and have never really browsed their clothing dept. before now. The Greenwood store especially was set up really nicely, I was super impressed! I will be visiting more often for sure!
