In the words of one of the CBC broadcasters last week,
“Every young girl in Canada wants to be the next Ellie Black.”
As you all know I was in Toronto for the first couple days of the Pan Am Games (and I’ll be blogging about my trip soon!), but I wasn’t able to watch Ellie compete as her first event happened as I was flying back home to Nova Scotia. However, thanks to live streaming and following along on Twitter I didn’t miss a moment!
I put together a playlist on YouTube of a number of her performances for anyone who didn’t get to catch her in action. This isn’t all of them, and they aren’t necessarily in order, but it’s about 16 minutes of Ellie showing us all how it’s done.
Black really is the new Gold.
So what do you think Canada? Should Ellie be the flag bearer at the closing ceremony? I do!

Pretty spectacular, and did anyone notice, she is a Nova Scotian!
