It’s the Thursday before Easter, which means it’s basically Friday, since tomorrow is Good Friday, which means that everything IS awesome 😉 so it seemed fitting to share this video today!
Anyone with kids is going to recognize this song from The Lego Movie, and if you haven’t noticed, I like using songs from movies for my kid’s routines because they get a lot more into it when it’s a song they already know. Especially when dealing with kids 7 and under (so Zumba Kids Jr) which is the age group this routine is intended.
I made a mistake when shooting the video, the second verse should start with a two step travel back and forth, and then end with side taps. But honestly, depending on the age group I will often just do side taps or half tempo two step travels the whole time instead of both (or the tempo side travel). It depends on the kids, and the day. Which is probably why I screwed up, I do it differently almost every time so it’s hard to keep track. 😉
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! The kids love signing along to this one!
Next week we are back to traditional Zumba, I’ve choreographed a routine to Caramelo on Mega Mix 46 (which I was shocked to see was a Reggaeton just now, I really thought I was a Cumbia… #spoilers), and I think I will also be sharing one for Mal De Amores (also from Mega Mix 46)  but that one isn’t quite finished yet.
