I’m very excited today to be sharing with you that I have been selected as part of the #CoolerWithAlmondBreeze Blogger Program in Canada! As part of the program I will be using Almond Breeze Almond Milk in my recipes, and of course blogging about it over the next 30 days.

Almond milk has become a staple in our home the past 6 months or so since J discovered that drinking cow’s milk bothers his digestive system. At first he used it just for his cereal and drinking, but we’ve now moved on and are using it in place for cows milk in recipes too. Now don’t get me wrong, we still have regular milk in the house, but we definitely are using more almond milk than regular milk these days. So when I found out I’d been chosen for part of this program I was really thrilled. As an existing consumer of Almond Breeze it’s always fun when you get to help promote a product you already know you enjoy!
The excitement doesn’t stop there however, because you can bet your bottom dollar Suzi was hopping back and forth in excitement when she saw the courier man arriving yesterday afternoon with a box full of goodies! Check out all the awesome things Almond Breeze sent to help me stay healthy in 2015!

I was particularly excited about the Hamilton Beach single-serve blender because my Magic Bullet (which must be at least 6 years old) has been dying a slow death for months so it is most certainly time for an upgrade. Also included in the package you can see I received a really sleek glass water (*ahem* smoothie) bottle, an insulated cooler bag, an ice/heat pack, sweatband and wrist band, a Nike speed rope, a purple yoga mat, a fitbook and coupons so I can go pick up some more Almond Breeze Almond Milk.

I’ve seen people post photos of the fitbook (autocorrect just changed that to fatback. What a tragic correction that would have been) on Instagram before, but I guess I never really knew what they were. Now that I have one I’m totally blown away and very much smitten!

Anyone who has ever seen me for nutrition or weight loss coaching can tell you I am so not into calorie counting, instead I urge people to count nutrients which is exactly what this book does!

I’m dying of excitement. I might not agree exactly with how many servings of grains they think I should have but…I’ll take my wins where I can. It also asks you to record how each meal make you feel (!!!!) how much sleep you are getting and of course all of your workouts. Colour me giddy, for real. It’s a 12 week training book which is prefect because it will last me the full 12 weeks of half marathon training which starts very soon (yikes!).
But back to the almond milk…
Even though we’ve been using Almond Breeze for a while, I certainly haven’t been as creative with it as I could be. I almost always make the same smoothie day after day after day, so I’m excited to switch things up and start trying out some new smoothie combinations using Almond Breeze (don’t worry, I’ll share my favourite combos with you!) and using it in other recipes too.
The folks at Almond Breeze have worked hard to create a prefect, creamy, silky texture without compromising the taste which is what makes it so great for both drinking and using in recipes. Available in both vanilla and original flavours (and sweetened and unsweetened) you are able to pick a carton suitable for all occasions.
We normally opt for the unsweetened variety but you can see from the picture earlier in this post I must have been daydreaming while shopping because I picked up the regular vanilla instead. 😉
I hope you enjoy my adventures in almond milk over the next few weeks, and remember to check the #CoolerWithAlmondBreeze hashtag to see what everyone is up to!

Congrats. We are Almond Breeze fans at our house too!
