Hi everyone! I decided since we are almost through June (what in the what!?) I should do a little check in on my goals for 2015!
The number one goal on my list was to improve my photography and learn how to use my new DSLR and we’re going to come back to that in just a minute because I want to quickly look over my other goals first.
My second goal was to read 24 books, and as of right now my total stands at 14, so I’m well on my way to achieving that one (Especially since I tend to read a lot in the summer).
Third on the list was creative writing… I haven’t even started yet. Oops. But I’m still confident I can get 50,000 words of creative writing done before year’s end. I just need to get to work!
Goals four and five have changed a bit, as things sometimes do. Initially I wanted to get my level 3 YogaFit training and YogaFit Kids as well this year. I’m not sure now this will happen in 2015, but I am taking a lot of online yoga courses right now, so while I might not be getting the hands-on training I had initially planned right now, I am still furthering my learning. And the fifth goal was to grow my online fitness and wellness club Team Spark to 50 members. Since then I’ve decided I don’t want that group to be so large, I want to keep it on the smaller scale (ideally under 15) so I can give all the individual attention the members may need. Instead, I plan to create and offer one or two stand alone fitness/wellness programs that don’t involve one-on-one time with me so that I can still help others but without being right there.
And my last goal was a running goal to run two half marathons and at least three races I hadn’t participated in before. Well I’ve gone one of each done, with the rest on my race plan for the year so I should be able to finish that goal in the fall.
But let’s move back to my first goal – photography. I’m moving in the right direction there, but I still have a lot to learn. A LOT. I shoot on manual 90% of the time, but I still haven’t learned enough about aperture or figuring out how to adjust the shutter speed on my particular camera to use either of those settings effectively (so when I need either, I pop over to a pre-set setting. And each time I do I think again – girl, you gotta learn how to use this camera!!
If you can relate, I have good news for you! My friends Ryan and Steph at Ultimate Bundles have put together an incredible product to help with your photography woes.
