This is one of those recipes you can make about once every 6 months without feeling badly about it. And I sort of think it would make the prefect Christmas Day brunch item, because we all know – all bets are off on Christmas day. Right? Right.

When I first saw this recipe in my bag of goodies from the President’s Choice holiday event I went to a a few weeks back I knew I had to test drive it. And really, any chance i have to make whipped cream (which is about twice/year) is good in my book!
The full recipe can be found directly on their website here including a printer friendly version, and it calls for you use their PC The Decadent Chocolate Cherry Loaf. But what do you do if you don’t live somewhere where they sell this appropriately named sweet bread? Don’t you worry, I’ve got you covered.
I searched the interwebs and found my buddy Rachael Ray has a Chocolate-Cherry Loaf on her site: http://www.rachaelraymag.com/recipes/rachael-ray-magazine-recipe-search/side-dish-recipes/chocolate-cherry-loaf, and there are thousands of other recipes out there you can search out and use. One cautionary note, the PC loaf is a dry loaf, with thinly cut pieces, so if you use a traditional loaf recipe, you will probably need to modify the recipe to omit the “stuffed” part. Why? Well those more moist loafs need to be cut in thicker slices making it difficult for the “toast” to heat through. But obviously it’s up to you!

I died a little bit the day I made these. They truly are decadent and worth every darn calorie.
If you make them please let me know what you think. I’m drooling a little bit just thinking about it!
Disclosure: I was provided with the ingredients to make this recipe by President’s Choice, however all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
