Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend!
Since announcing my partnership with atoma® for the 2015 TORONTO Pan Am Games, and introducing you to Nova Scotian Olympian Ellie Black who will be competing in Toronto, I wanted to share a few news pieces with you to help you to get to know your local Olympian a little bit better!
Right now Ellie is in Boston training hard, but before she left she was interviewed on CTV’s Live at 5 and even taught Ana Almeida how to do a back flip on that evening’s Section Six segment! {I apologize for not embedded the videos right here, but CTV doesn’t appear to allow their videos to be embedded).
And I really loved this article/video where Ellie answered the questions of young gymnasts in this piece from Truro Daily, there was also a piece on CBC Nova Scotia’s newspage and she was interviewed on CBC’s Information Morning (audio clip here). In this clip she goes into a bit more detail on her training, and how being an elite athlete compares to what she thought it would be like when she was younger.
I hope you take a few minutes to check out some of the pieces linked above (they are short), and are all looking forward to getting to know Ellie a bit better over the coming months, I know I am! Even if you aren’t into gymnastics, having such an amazing athlete from our own province is worth celebrating!
