A month or so ago I was contacted by Synergy Therapeutics, a company based here in Canada that sells FIR braces and supports designed to reduce chronic pain from injury and disease. When they came across my website and discovered I had fibromyalgia they contacted me to see if I would be interested in reviewing their product to see if it helped with my joint pain. Since I’m always interested in finding products that make life a little less painful, I happily said I would love to, and chose their Comfort Leg Support to try out.
Before I get into my review, I want to tell you a bit more about their products which are made with FIR-Inside technology, which is an activated Bamboo charcoal woven directly into the fabric. The combination of Bamboo fiber and Poliyou™ material enhance our bodies natural FIR allowing far infrared rays to get deep in the tissue and muscle, reducing swelling and pain.
Benefits of wearing Synergy FIR-Inside products may include:
– Improved blood circulation
– Reduced muscle tension
– Reduced swelling
– Alleviation of pain
– Increased mobility
If you want to learn more about the science behind the products check out their website as it is better equipped to answer your technical questions than I am. 😉
When my leg support arrived a week later I was excited to give it a go! I experience the majority of my joint and muscle pain/discomfort at night. Or more accurately, I notice it more at night because I’m just lying there, instead of running around teaching fitness classes and working during the day. So I was eager to see if it helped with the pain and circulation issues I have at night.

The instructions say that for maximum effect you need to wear the support against the skin for a minimum of 24 hours. I haven’t worn it for 24 straight hours yet, but still have found it really helpful. The support itself is snug without being tight. If I compare it to a pair of compression socks this is much more comfortable to wear for a long period of time than compression socks, which I find start to feel too tight after a few hours. I typically put my support on each night after having bath, and leave it on until the next day when I’m getting dressed to go to work.

We’ve started calling it my bionic leg, and J feels quite sure I need 2 leg supports and two arm supports. Fortunately one of my legs is almost always more sore than the other so I just put it on the one that is bothering me the most. I have a lot of issues with my limbs feeling numb, or “dead” and I rally have found that wearing the support has reduced, if not eliminated that sensation while I’m wearing it. I put my leg support in a drawer yesterday when I was cleaning so I forgot to put it on after my bath last night. I went to bed and didn’t think of it until I woke up with shooting pains down my leg, an issue I haven’t had since I started wearing it.

Can I say for certain that the FIR-Inside is what is making the difference? No of course not, for all I know the changes I’ve noticed are thanks to the compressive feeling the support gives me. However there is lots of science behind FIR so I personally believe that it has helped.
Infact, I like the product so much that I’m pretty sure I’ll be buying second leg support in the new year (for those days both legs are bothering me), and I’ve already sent them an email telling them I wished they made a full arm sleeve as I could definitely use two of those as my arms are the WORST! They are so super sweet that they are going send me one of their elbow supports to see if that helps with my arm pain – I’ll keep you posted on that!

Disclosure: I received the above product free of charge from Synergy Therapeutics, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I think I’d most like to try the synergy comfort ankle support. Around my ankles is usually the place I feel discomfort after running, and I think these might help reduce the pain.
My ankles (which have both been broken once and sprained a million times) would benefit from the ankle supports. My knee would be appreciative of the brace.
I definitely need the leg support. I have a myoclonic jerk (undiagnosed cause still) and I think this would help immensely with the leg jerking.

I’d love to try that product. My legs sometimes are painful. Lately, it happens every so often. Thanks for your review. I will discuss this with my doctor.
I would absolutely love to win one of these. I am an aspiring fitness instructor who has a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Several months ago while goofing off with my kids, I aggravated my right knee. I have been looking for something to provide extra support.

I would get the carpal tunnel brace because for my job being on the computer so much i get wrist and arm pain.
I would like to give the Premium Hinged Knee Brace a try. I started running earlier this year, but suffered knee pain, everytime I tried. I think that a good support would at least help with that discomfort.

The ankle support looks awesome. I have pain in my ankle from that fun night when I was 19, had a few drinks and jumped on a trampoline. :/ 15 years later I’m feeling the effects from that sprain, especially in Zumba. Can’t be having that! 🙂
I’d love to win the Comfort Leg Support. My mom has difficulty sleeping due to leg pain & poor circulation. This sounds like something that could help her! Thanks!! 🙂

I too have fibromyalgia, so it was a toss up between the ankle support and knee support!
