Happy November the 4th, which according to my calendar is election day in the US. Here in Canada it’s just another ordinary Tuesday! Since I had to get my Footlogix giveaway up yesterday, today I’ll do my weekly life recap. 😉
After finding out I passed my exam last week (yippee!!!!) I’ve very much enjoyed not studying this week! It was nice to not worry about remembering all of the ins and outs of leptin and glycogen and insulin and all that other stuff.
Even without the studying this past week was a rough one for me. I don’t know if it was the weather (it’s been a little all over the place this week, hot, cold, dreary, sunny, etc.), the general time of year, or just one of those off weeks but my body was in rough shape. My fibromyalgia decided to come full force and wreak havoc, which was particularly unwelcome since I was teaching a full (17 classes) schedule last week. I avoid taking medication most of the time, but last week I was into the extra strength anti-inflammatories, heat packs, and gel on my legs (and invigorating gel to help me get the feeling back when they got numb. Yup it happens, yup it’s just about as fun as it sounds).
Here I am hauling myself and about 34094809345 bags and yoga mats after one of my private classes this week
What is going on with my hair there? I need a hair cut in the worst way. For realz. It’s terrible.
Come Thursday I was little more than a walking zombie. I made it through my first two classes of the day, finished up a bit of work at home and then laid down for 15 minutes. It would seem that the ringer on my phone was turned w-a-y down because I woke up 45 minutes later, a whole 5 minutes before I had to leave for my next class. Yikes! I got there in time, and thanks to that 45 minute nap I made it the rest of the way through the day (I teach 5 classes on Thursdays).
But Thursday wasn’t a total downer, this little beauty showed up at my door!
Polar’s new M400! I’m testing it out for a couple weeks (it’s just a loaner) and by Friday I already knew it was going to be hard to tear this beauty of my wrist at the end of two weeks. I’ll be posting a review next week, but so far I really love it (and it makes me feel fancy 😉 ).
Friday was Halloween and of course I dressed up for my Zumba Gold class!
Too bad nobody knew what I was suppose to be without some heavy hinting. #fail (I was suppose to be R2D2).
Friday afternoon I went grocery shopping and then came home and started work on my pumpkin at 3:30pm. Why on earth did I wait until the last minute? Well partly because I couldn’t decide what to carve. On my way home from Zumba Gold Friday morning I decided the answer was Big Boo (from Super Mario). He turned out pretty well for a 25 minute job!
As for trick or treaters, our grand total was 16. It’s sad because I’m rarely home on Halloween night and I was sooooo excited anytime I heard a knock at the door!
Saturday was spent doing exciting things like laundry, house cleaning and computer work. I wanted to get everything I needed to get done work wise done because early Sunday morning I was off to the city for the Lucky 7 Relay (which I’ll be recapping tomorrow) and I wanted to be able to just chill out Sunday afternoon/evening. I got home from the race around 2:30 I think, had a bath and promptly had a nap on the couch for 1 1/2 hours. Not long after I got home I was hit with a headache from being over tired so I was happy I didn’t have to go get a bunch of work done and could sleep it off!
Have a great Tuesday everyone!
P.S. How many trick or treaters did you have?
