Happy Valentine’s Day! Let’s start this post off right with valentines just for you from the Fevens kitties:

I had planned to wait and post my 6 week check-in on Monday but I’ve got a different post in mind for Monday so I decided to do it today!
If you haven’t been following along, you can check out my previous posts on the Physique 57 Challenge first to get caught up:
The past two weeks has been a lot more of the same as far as my health goes. I’m still battling this chest cold, and last week I started in on a lovely fibromyalgia flair up that left me laid out on the couch every moment I didn’t have to be teaching or writing. I have been struggling to get my workouts in, and missed 2 or 3 last week because of how unwell I was.
This week has been better though! I’ve had to do some flip flopping of days but I’ve got all of my workouts in so far (still have today’s to do) and am definitely feeling stronger. I can get through most of the workouts with only taking a break or two instead of the dozen I was taking at the start of the challenge, and even though my range of motion still leaves a lot to be desired it too has improved.
So now we only have two weeks left, and I’m sort of excited, but also sad. I love having the ability to just open up the Physique 57 website and doing an online video. I have all of the DVDs so it doesn’t make sense for me to continue with the unlimited monthly package for online workouts but I will certainly miss some of the online only workouts. I may pop in and pay for one/week once this is over and then continue with the rest of the workouts via DVD. I really, really like the Get Fit Quick with Erin Andrews and the Strong and Lean workouts, I think they are my favourite of the online only videos.
I wasn’t sure (again) if I should bother weighing myself or taking measurements since I’d missed so many workouts last week, but I decided I would.
Week 6 results (compared to week 4): down .8lb and 1 inch ( 1/2 inch off each thigh).
That means my six week totals are: pounds lost: 2.8 inches lost: 8 1/2 (1.5 off each thigh, 1/2 off my hips, 3 off my lower abdomen {around my belly button}, 2 off my natural waist).
Not bad.
And then I thought, man – I wish I would have been smart enough to take before photos. So I went through photos and found one from October. I did lose some weight when I hosted my DietBet back before Christmas, but then Christmas happened 😉 so I think I was pretty much this same size at the start of the challenge. I hate it when people have before and after photos and they are in a totally different pose so I attempted to post the same way (which was hard, lol. Why was this the only full body photo I could find where I wasn’t moving??) Anyway, what do you think? I think my hips/legs do look a bit different, and if I were wearing a more form fitting tank in the first picture I think you’d see a difference in my midsection as well.
So there you have it, I’ve got 2 weeks left, maybe I’ll do another side by side of this “current” picture then to see if we can see any difference after the last two weeks!
