It’s something that you need to be very mindful, especially if you are like me and have a health condition that is very dependant on your taking care of yourself, and/or have a job (again like me) that does a lot of damage or puts a lot of stress on your body.
This is something I know all too well, and yet, I’m notorious for not taking care of myself.
I’m stubborn and don’t like asking for help or assistance.
I don’t like admitting to myself (or anyone else) that I can’t do something simply because of my condition.
It makes me angry when I can’t do all of the things I feel I should be able to do because I’m too exhausted or sore.
And yet, I still haven’t taken care of myself.
I’ve been terrible about taking my vitamins.
I don’t think I eat enough to fuel my body for all of my workouts.
I KNOW I don’t drink enough water.
I’m mostly just a mess and need to straighten myself out.
I’m starting off by taking my vitamins daily.
I’ve replaced the batteries in my heart rate monitor and will be wearing it for all of my classes again in order to determine my daily calorie burn
(Saturday morning’s Zumba + Zumba Toning class)
In addition I will be tracking my calorie intake to ensure calories in > calories burned.
I will be making sure to take my NeoCell Collagen Sport after every class to help with muscle recovery
While I drink lots of water during classes, I’m terrible at drinking water during the day. I will now be trying to drink a minimum of 1 litre each day above and beyond what I drink during classes.
There will be a daily date with my foam roller and TP Therapy kit to help break up scar tissue. Also, as soon as I get to go see my doctor to get a referral (so my health insurance will cover it) I’ll be going for massages.
And to keep myself accountable, I’ll be instagraming everything daily, so if you follow me on Instagram, Twitter and/or Facebook and don’t think I’m forgetting my vitamins, or notice I’m not drinking enough water, or posting my calories please call me out on it. After all, the reason I’m sharing this is so I’m more accountable 🙂
And in keeping with today’s theme, right now I’m off to go get my eyes checked. Fun stuff 😉
I have gotten better at taking vitamins this season, but the water drinking i have a problem with. I need to change that.
Why is water such a problem? I drink lots while teaching, but drinking it during the day to stay hydrated seems so impossible. It’s so silly
