Monday Musings 10/20

Well hello there! You may (or may not) have noticed I took most of last week off from blogging. After a couple crazy work weeks I was in need of an extra bit of down time, and not putting pressure on myself to pump out a bunch posts and take the time to chill out.

I woke up last Tuesday feeling like a cold was trying to set in, my throat was sore and understandably I was exhausted (approx. 43 hours of exercise in 14 days will do that to a person) so I was pretty happy when one of my Tuesday classes got cancelled. You can sum up my week last week like this:

  • Sleep
  • Teach
  • Eat
  • Rest
  • Teach
  • Repeat

So far (fingers crossed) it seems like I bypassed getting a cold, so yay for resting! This coming week I get a little break too because 5 of my regular classes are cancelled giving me two evenings and one morning off. I’m pretty excited! I’m planning to use that extra free time to study, I gotta write that Nutrition & Weight Loss Specialist exam soon!

Saturday I taught Zumba Toning in a festive way. Meaning we got there and discovered the room was decorated for a 50th Birthday party, so we had class around the tables/decor. Not exactly ideal :/

But The real fun happened Saturday afternoon when J and I went on a corn maze adventure!

Leave it to us, we were able to find two errors on the map where roads/paths hadn’t been made that were shown on the map. And we may have been separated a few times…

By the time we were done we were muddy and I was wiped out. Who knew corn mazes could be so exhausting!

Then yesterday I was off on a city shopping adventure with my buddies. We hit up all the exciting places like Starbucks, Costco,

(researching cameras. I’m really hoping to get a new one in the new year!)

Sephora, LUSH, Marshalls,

(I really wanted that cat bed for the kitties!)

Target, Bath & Body Works, The Body Shop, The Shoe Company – you know all those stores that you city dwellers that for granted and us country bumpkins only get to visit on occasion. #PoorCoutryGirls

We successfully filled Cathy’s car with our purchases and brought our tired selves back home (two sure signs of a successful shopping trip). Then it was some Sunday night chores to finish off the weekend before The Walking Dead came on!

This upcoming week I’ve got some fun deliveries I’m hoping will arrive (including the latest Sophie Kinsella book!) and if I get enough studying done I might write my exam next weekend.

What did you do this past weekend? Anything fun coming up this week?
