Gifts for the Fitness Guru

This year I decided to curate two separate gift guides, the shop local gift guide I published last week, and a gift guide for the fitness guru on your list. I’ve curated this gift guide with some unique gift ideas that any fitness guru will love to find under the tree!

And in my mind, anyone who works out regularly is a fitness guru. I don’t care if they have a 6-pack or can run a 6-minute mile. If you exercise you are an athlete and if you are an athlete you are a fitness guru in the sense of this gift guide!

Gifts for the Fitness Guru

Resistance Band Loops

This is an especially great idea for anyone on your list that you know works out on their own and travels a lot – or who spends a lot of time at the cottage or camping in the summer. Especially with so many people using AirBNB’s when they travel, having access to an equipped gym when away from home can be a real challenge. And if you like to workout at home and don’t have a gym membership to a gym chain, it can be expensive (and annoying) to seek out a gym and buy a day pass to get in your workout.

That’s why these resistance band loops from Limm are the perfect travel companion. They are light-weight, take up very little space in your suitcase and come in their own hand mesh travel bag. But don’t be fooled, these loops can add intensity to your workouts like WOAH. Try doing a few lunges or squats with these looped around your thighs and trust me – you’ll feel the burn!

Available on Amazon for less than $16 they make for a functional and useful gift they will be happy to receive!

Curation 2019 Journal by Saint Belford

Do you have someone on your list that is still pretty new into their wellness journey, or someone you know has some big goals in the works for 2019 (maybe running a marathon, becoming vegan, a powerlifting competition, or starting a yoga or meditation practice) the Curation Journal by Saint Belford is the perfect choice.

Stay organized, empowered and in control of your time with Curation.

More than a 2019 diary, Curation provides over a dozen lifestyle tools to help you plan and prioritize your time and wellbeing with ease.

Created with a set of lifestyle tools to help you create new habits, save money, curate a bucket list, plan your months and weeks this isn’t your ordinary day planner.

Unlike any other planner I’ve ever seen, the Curation 2019 Journal focuses on your overall wellness, not just your fitness, finances or daily to-dos.

I think this is a perfect gift for anyone on your list – fitness guru or not!

Coming all the way from Australia, you’ll want to order now to have in time for the holidays. Shipping is only $9.95 for standard international shipping which is pretty reasonable compared to shipping rates for a lot of domestic online shops!

Enso Rings

I stopped wearing my wedding rings when I teach years ago. I’ve broken too many blood vessels on my palms from clapping (file that under job hazards you didn’t think existed) from the bands hit my palms that it wasn’t worth the risk. I also hate sweating when wearing them as I’ll inevitably end up with those stupid red bumps from the moisture getting trapped. For a while, I wore a really thin silver band from AVON as my “faux” wedding ring, and then I went a few years without wearing any at all.

For some reason, it bothered me to not wear a wedding ring and when I saw that ENSO had come out with new silicone rings in metal finishes I decided it was time to invest in one. I had seen them advertised online for a few years but wasn’t really into wearing a silicone wedding ring that was a bright color or otherwise clearly not a “real” wedding ring. But the thin elements silicone rings in rose gold, gold, silver, and copper look a lot like a plain wedding band. So the next time they had a sale, I ordered a rose gold band and have worn it nearly every day for the past 15 months.

Because it’s soft I can’t hurt my palms when clapping, moisture doesn’t get trapped and I often forget I even have it on. It’s perfect for so many people who find they can’t wear traditional wedding rings due to sensitivities, their job or gym life.

A word of warning if ordering and you live in Canada as I do – you will probably end up paying customs upon delivery, at least in September 2017 when I ordered it was not built into the shipping fees so I don’t want you to have that surprise when the delivery man knocks on the door!

And last but certainly not least:

The investment piece…

Lululemon Align Leggings

These leggings are pricey, but everyone who has them adores them (including me!). A lightweight legging that feels like wearing nothing at all, with a high waist and a really flattering fit, once you put these on you’ll never want to take them off.

If you are looking to spend a bit more and get your loved one something they will use for years to come, you can’t go wrong with a solid black pair of Align leggings. The sizing runs pretty true (I can wear anything in a 3-range size because of the stretch), so if you know their pant size you are good to go.

But don’t just take my word for it, Kayla is the one who got me hooked on them, I know Holly wears them to work every day, Kate just talked about how much she loves them in her Instagram Stories a couple weeks ago, and Jamie legit wore hers throughout her entire pregnancy (and is still wearing them now!).

Trust me, if you buy these for the yogi or runner or comfort lover in your life, they will puffy heart love you for LIFE!

I hope this gift guide has been helpful if you have a fitness guru on your list you still need to buy for, and of course, if you ARE the fitness guru feel free to forward this post to anyone who might need some ideas on what to buy for you this holiday season!

Disclosure: Limm and Saint Belford provided me with a complimentary product in order to assist me in creating this post, all other products were purchased by me.

    A. I bought really expensive resistance bands a few years ago and I hardly use them because of the overly strong smell of latex (also, my mom is Medic-Alert bracelet-allergic to latex, so that’s a no-no). I can’t ever get the smell of my hands, gym clothes, out of nose. Do the Limm bands have a stench?

    B. Love your Jord watch! 🙂

I didn’t notice any smell when I took them out of the package or through general use but I just went and literally put my nose on them to smell them, haha, and they do smell if you get right up in them. I really don’t notice any scent if using them as a normal person would (i.e. without your nose touching the bands), but I don’t know if it would still be annoying if you used them a lot with your hands (though I don’t think that you likely would use these too much with a hand grip)

      And thanks!
