Dance Fitness: Yo Resistire

Yo Resistire is a Salsaton song by El Chevo found on Zumba Mega Mix 67. When looking for a song to choreograph for this month this one stuck out to me for some reason, possibly because it’s pretty straightforward and I like sharing routines that are pretty easy to learn.

The brick wall is a little crazy on the eyes because I recorded this later one night after class so I think the lights are causing that weird reflection, blech! But hopefully, it’s not too distracting.

This routine does have a little quirk between the intro/bridge and the chorus, where one rock back/back salsa transitions right into a second one on the same foot. The big thing to know is that you won’t be putting your right foot down in between. You rock back on count 7, count 8 is the left foot on the spot, and then count 1 of the next bar is the right foot doing a rock back again. Its harder to write out than it is to do, so just take a watch and you’ll see what I mean!
