October Faves

October has come and gone, and that means we are gearing up for you know what….

No, not snow (though I’m sure that’s on it’s way too). I’m talking about my October favourites list! That’s right, I’m actually following through and for the second month in a row compiling some of my favourite things. I know, I know. I’m shocked too.

Let’s get to it shall we?

This Hood

At first I saw this on Facebook and really wanted one, but was pretty sure (as in 100% sure) I wouldn’t be knitting myself one

hood

so I did what any sensible person would do – I searched Etsy for a similar one. And while I didn’t find one that resembled this one, I did find this ewok hood that I am now certain I need (they make it in adult sizes!!). It’s so darn cute!

Fleece Leggings

I got the leggings I’m wearing in this photo in a 2-pack from Costco a few weeks ago. They are fleece lined and oh so cozy!

Leggings

I wouldn’t wear them to workout it (aside from a little random kitchen yoga perhaps) but they make fantastic lounging around pants!

The Flash

I predicted this would make this month’s list and I was right – I am really enjoying the show!!

Gone Girl (the movie)

I haven’t read (and don’t plan to read) the book, but was interested to see the movie after hearing lots of mixed reviews about the book from those who have read it. After seeing the movie I can certainly see how/why some people who read the book were frustrated or didn’t like it until the second half. I can also see why some people didn’t like the ending (though honestly I don’t know how closely the film mirrored the book). As a movie though, I thought they did a wonderful job. It was disturbing and creepy without being over the top and all in all an enjoyable watch – though there was some pretty graphic violence in one part that anyone with issues about seeing vast quantities of blood (even faux blood) many want to avoid.

Have you seen Gone Girl? If so did you like it?
