Want to know a not so secret, secret? I adore the holidays. Yes I know, lots of people adore the holidays, but I’m a little bit extra obsessed. I love giving gifts and seeing people get excited about the anticipation of the season. The decorations, the music, it all excites me a little too much some (who I am married to) might say, but I don’t care. I love the holidays!
Another not so secret, secret is that each year I do a lot of my Christmas shopping at Shoppers Drug Mart. I’ve talked about my love of Shoppers Optimum Points on the blog before, and that’s because I save them up each year to “spend” at Christmas. I was actually sitting at my computer lamenting over the fact that I’ve been neglect in collecting my points this year and don’t have that many to cash in, when I got the email about this campaign! How weird is that!?
I think one of the big reasons I enjoy Christmas so much is because I make sure to get all my shopping done before the stores get crazy. Once the holiday rush hits and the stores are crowded it drives me insane! That’s another reason I love shopping at Shoppers Drug Mart. Even during the craziest of weekends, my local store is always so much calmer (and easy to navigate) and has more available parking spaces (so you’re not fighting with someone for that last parking spot!) than the local department stores – and they stay open late!
Because I live out in the country, my local store is about a 15 minute drive away, but so are all of the other department stores and malls, so it’s every bit as convenient to shop here as it is anywhere else! And then, there are those Shoppers Optimum Points to think about. Have I mentioned I love them? You can earn points on almost every purchase, and with exciting in-store sales and promotions you can save money and sometimes earn bonus points by purchasing things you would normally purchase anyways!
